Peter uses a Norwegian Rana 17 ft. fishing boat with a deep vee hull especially suited for the Dutch lakes, rivers and canals. This boat fishes comfortably with three fishermen. Due to its deep keel, it works extremely well with the vertical fishing technique. The boat is equipped with a front troller electric engine steered by a co-pilot. With this combination Peter has total control over the exact positioning of the boat over the hotspots on the lake or canals. This bow engine setup amounts to higher catches of fish compared to the backtrolling technique. When fishing with natural bait this Norwegian boat is also outstanding when using two anchors to position the boat strategically to fish a particular hotspot.
